Party says candidate details have been submitted to INEC portal as it intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has announced that it has uploaded Prince Laja Adeoye as its governorship candidate for Lagos State and Coker Oluwatobi Adeyemi Grace as his running mate on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party, in a statement issued after a strategic meeting at its national headquarters in Abuja, said the submission makes Adeoye the first governorship candidate in Lagos State to be uploaded to the INEC portal for the February 6, 2027 governorship election.
The Lagos delegation was led by the state chairman, Mrs. Bunmi Adeyemo, and the Coordinator of the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation (LACO), Otunba S. Alebiosu. They were joined by members of the party’s national leadership, including the National Secretary, National Organising Secretary, Director of ICT, and state chairmen from Oyo and Kwara.
The meeting reviewed the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections and strategies for expanding its presence in Lagos State.
Speaking after the meeting, Adeoye said the APM was positioning itself as an alternative platform for Nigerians seeking a change in leadership at both the state and national levels.
The party also announced that it had uploaded Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 election. According to the statement, Makinde, alongside Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, is part of a team of leaders working with the party’s national leadership.
To strengthen its grassroots structure, the Lagos State Forum of Local Government Chairmen resolved to intensify membership recruitment, voter mobilisation and the consolidation of party structures across the state’s 20 local government areas, 37 local council development areas, wards and polling units.
Adeoye said his campaign would be anchored on the “Atunto Eko Agenda,” which he described as a blueprint focused on economic growth, accountable governance, security, youth empowerment, infrastructure renewal, job creation, affordable healthcare and improved transportation and housing.
The APM said it would continue mobilising support across Lagos and the country as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
