Airline says all passengers and crew evacuated safely as aviation authorities begin investigation.

An Enugu Air aircraft veered off the runway after landing at Benin Airport on Tuesday, prompting an emergency response and a temporary disruption of flight operations.

The airline confirmed in a statement that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft, with no injuries or fatalities recorded.

According to Enugu Air, the aircraft has been secured, while the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established safety procedures.

The runway excursion briefly affected airport operations as emergency responders secured the scene and aviation officials commenced investigations into the incident.

Enugu Air said the occurrence could lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules, adding that affected passengers would be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.

The airline reaffirmed that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority and said it is cooperating fully with aviation authorities investigating the incident.

It also thanked passengers for their patience and assured the public that further updates would be communicated through its official channels.
