The victims were trapped in a ground-floor apartment after part of the six-block residential building collapsed in Kubwa.
Two residents have been rescued after part of a one-storey residential building collapsed in Kubwa 2/2, near Yellow Pages, Abuja.
The incident occurred at about 11:30am on Friday, with the FCT Emergency Management Department (FEMD) receiving a distress call eight minutes later.
According to a statement by Nkechi Isa of the Department of Development Control and the FCT Police Command, the right segment of the six-block residential building collapsed, trapping two tenants in a ground-floor apartment.
Other residents were reportedly away when the incident occurred.
The two victims were rescued and taken to Kubwa General Hospital, where they are said to be in stable condition.
Several household items were also destroyed in the collapse.
