The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed the Oyo State Supplementary Finance Bill, 2026, approving an additional N210 billion to finance the state’s supplementary appropriation for the 2026 fiscal year.
The bill was passed during Thursday’s plenary following the presentation and adoption of the report of the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation and State Economic Planning.

Presenting the report, the committee chairman, Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola, said the bill was considered clause by clause, with inputs from the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and projections in the Oyo State Government’s Medium Term Expenditure Framework.
With the approval, the state’s total 2026 financial provision rises from N892.085 billion to N1.102 trillion.
The committee recommended that the N210 billion be sourced from the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Oyo State for the year ending December 31, 2026, with the sources outlined in the schedule to the bill.
The passage brings Oyo State’s total approved financial provision for 2026 to over N1.1 trillion.
