CP Michael Falade Assures Beneficiaries of Continued Police Support
The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade, has presented insurance benefit cheques worth ₦9.797 million to families and beneficiaries of police officers who died in the line of duty.
Falade made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.
He said the payment reflected the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel and families of officers who died while serving the country.
The commissioner described the gesture as a practical expression of the Force’s appreciation for the sacrifices of its fallen officers, noting that while no amount of money could replace a loved one, the benefit would provide meaningful support to the affected families.
Falade assured the beneficiaries that the police would not abandon families of officers who paid the supreme price.
He urged the families to use the funds prudently, particularly for the education and welfare of the deceased officers’ children.
The CP commended the IGP, Force Management Team, insurance stakeholders and the Force Insurance Unit for facilitating the settlement of the legitimate claims.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mathew Emmanuel thanked the IGP and the Nigeria Police Force for the financial support.
Emmanuel assured that the funds would be judiciously utilised for the welfare and benefit of the families of the deceased officers.
