Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members to the Oyo State Advisory Council, chaired by legal luminary, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN.

The newly appointed members are Engr. Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. (Mrs.) Lydia Bankole.

In a related development, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.

The appointments were contained in letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.

The governor also approved the reassignment of three officials to new positions.

Mrs. Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, formerly a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.

Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, is now Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency.

He replaces Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, who is the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied People’s Movement.

Also, Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, a former member of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), has been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.

All the appointments take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.

Governor Makinde congratulated the appointees and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
