Airline Says Fuel Unavailability Delayed Abuja Operations Before Weather Halted Maiduguri Service
Air Peace has attributed recent flight disruptions at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to the unavailability of Jet A1 aviation fuel and adverse weather conditions.
The airline said the fuel shortage initially delayed its Abuja operations and affected other airlines operating from the airport.

According to Air Peace, affected flights resumed after aviation fuel became available. However, the Abuja-Maiduguri service could not operate despite an extension initially granted for the flight.
The airline said prevailing Visual Flight Rules conditions later made the extension untenable because the flight could not operate beyond sunset.
Air Peace said passengers were informed of the delays and provided with refreshments throughout the disruption.
Following the cancellation, the airline said affected passengers were provided with hotel accommodation while arrangements were made to operate the service the following day.
Air Peace apologised for the inconvenience and said passenger safety and wellbeing remained its priority.
