Party Leaders Rally Support for Assembly Candidate Ahead of 2027 Oyo Election

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has formally flagged off the campaign of its candidate for Akinyele Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olalere Solomon Ere.

The campaign was held on Wednesday, October 7, at Ojoo Roundabout in Akinyele Local Government Area and attracted party leaders, candidates, supporters, residents and other members of the public.

Oyo State APM Chairman, Hon. Fagbemi Adegbenro, thanked residents for their turnout and described the gathering as a demonstration of unity within the party. He urged voters to support Ere and other APM candidates in the 2027 elections.

Ere, while addressing the gathering, said his ambition was driven by a desire to provide effective representation for the people of Akinyele Constituency II. He said community service had been part of his activities before seeking elective office.

He pledged to prioritise the needs of the constituency and make the interests of residents central to his legislative responsibilities if elected.

The APM party flag was formally presented to Ere by Adegbenro, marking the party’s endorsement of his candidacy.

Also speaking, APM candidate for Ibadan North Constituency II, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, urged voters to support the party’s candidates, including Oyo governorship candidate Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, and the APM candidates for the two Akinyele State Assembly constituencies.

The event was attended by APM leaders, local government officials, candidates, party executives, councillors, supporters and residents from across the area.

The campaign also featured performances by Fuji musician Alhaji Taye Currency and the Oldschool Brothers dance group, adding an entertainment component to the political gathering.

The flag-off formally marks the beginning of Ere’s campaign for the Akinyele Constituency II seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
