The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Adeniyi Benjamin, over alleged quack medical practice and operation of an unlicensed medical facility in the Olodo area of Ibadan.
The suspect was arrested on October 2, 2026, at about 3pm by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit following credible intelligence about his activities at Life Is Good Hospital, Olodo.

The police said operatives who visited the facility found Benjamin attending to patients and administering treatments, particularly fertility-related treatments, despite allegedly not being a certified medical doctor.
Items recovered from the facility included two weighing scales, four Quantum Magnetic Resonance Body Analysers, one stethoscope, a large carton containing assorted medicines and specimen bottles.

During preliminary investigation, the suspect allegedly confessed to operating as a quack practitioner for about seven years despite not being a medical doctor or holding a licence to practise medicine.
The police said Benjamin also admitted specialising in fertility-related treatments, which he had been administering to patients at the facility.
The Command warned members of the public to verify the professional credentials and registration status of anyone offering medical services before seeking treatment, particularly for sensitive medical conditions.
It also urged residents to report suspicious medical facilities or individuals presenting themselves as medical practitioners without verifiable credentials to the police or relevant regulatory authorities.
The police said investigation was ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspect’s activities and whether other persons were connected to the operation of the facility.
The Command added that appropriate action would be taken in accordance with the law at the conclusion of the investigation.
