… Viral eyewitness video shows damaged vehicle and school bags left behind as family appeals for calm.
Armed gunmen have reportedly abducted Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of Former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Elewura Challenge, Ibadan while Mrs. John-Paul was taking the children to school.

The family has reportedly according to some news sources confirmed the abduction in a statement signed by Comrade Femi Awogboro, Media Aide to Chief Adelabu.
In a viral eyewitness video that has been widely circulated on social media, a red car believed to be the victims’ vehicle was seen abandoned at the scene with the driver’s side window shattered. School bags were also visible on the back seat, indicating that the children were on their way to school before the attack occurred.
An eyewitness who narrated the incident in the video alleged that the victims were ordered out of their vehicle and forced into a gray-coloured car by the abductors, who then sped away from the scene. The eyewitness account has not yet been independently verified by security authorities.
Details surrounding the abduction remain unclear, while security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
