Bauchi State Governor and leader of the Allied Peoples Movement, Bala Mohammed, has urged Nigerians not to underestimate the party’s presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, ahead of the 2027 election.

Mohammed spoke on Monday in Abuja at the inauguration of the APM’s presidential campaign office, where he said the party was prepared to challenge the established political forces in the election.

He described Makinde as a tested administrator whose experience governing Oyo State had prepared him for the presidency, citing his management of limited resources, urban renewal projects and other development initiatives.

The APM leader said the party was not entering the 2027 race merely to participate but to pursue victory with Makinde as its standard-bearer.

Mohammed urged rival parties and their candidates not to take Makinde for granted, expressing confidence that his administrative experience, mobilisation capacity and record in Oyo State would become more evident as the campaign progresses.

He said the APM would use the campaign to present its vision to Nigerians and seek support for what he described as a fresh approach to governing the country.
