… Governor Receives Boye Nation, Supporters at Mega Concert, Says APM Victory Is ‘Only a Matter of Time’
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has declared that the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) will win massively in the 2027 general elections as thousands of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defected to the party.
Makinde spoke on Monday at the Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega Concert held at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The defectors, led by Ajiboye Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, were drawn from various local government areas across the state.
Sangogade is a former aide and loyalist of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.
Receiving the defectors into the APM, Makinde said their defection was evidence of growing support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Today, we are welcoming thousands of APC members into the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and this shows that our victory is only a matter of time. We will win massively in all elections in 2027,” he said.
The governor also said the APM had the backing of God and the people of Oyo State, expressing confidence that the party would emerge victorious across the various elective positions.
The event, themed “Young, United, Unstoppable,” combined political mobilisation with entertainment.
Fuji artistes including Taye Currency, Tiri Leather, Babatunmise, Ododo Emi, Ajao Samson Ajeseun and Aare Rasaq Ayanfe performed at the concert.
The event was attended by government officials, APM leaders, lawmakers and the party’s candidates for the 2027 elections.
