Former Power Minister dismisses allegations against personal assistant, describes claims as false and a deliberate attempt to cause distraction.

Former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has dismissed reports linking his Personal Assistant, Ajiboye Sangogade, to the kidnapping of his sister and her twins.

In a statement released on Wednesday through his media aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro, Adelabu reportedly described the allegation as false and misleading.

It was earlier reported that Mrs. Busayo Adegoke, the former minister’s younger sister, and her twins were allegedly abducted last Wednesday in Ibadan, Oyo State, before being reportedly rescued on Saturday by a combined team of security operatives.

Following their rescue, rumours emerged claiming Sangogade was allegedly involved in the incident by providing information to the kidnappers.

However, Adelabu strongly refuted the claims, insisting his aide reportedly had no connection to the abduction and urged the public to disregard what he described as baseless allegations aimed at causing distraction.
