President says completed Federal Highway 105 reflects Renewed Hope Agenda as Wike highlights impact on satellite communities.
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated the completed Federal Highway 105 linking the Airport Expressway to Kuje Township in the Federal Capital Territory, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to completing inherited infrastructure projects across the country.
The President, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, said the six-lane dual carriageway reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda and the government’s resolve to deliver on promises made to Nigerians.

President Tinubu said his administration would not abandon ongoing projects but would instead ensure their completion in the public interest, stressing that the era of neglected infrastructure must come to an end.
He noted that the road, awarded in 2022 but left uncompleted for years, had caused hardship for commuters and businesses due to congestion, flooding and dust pollution.
According to him, the completed highway will ease traffic, improve access to markets, reduce travel time, and stimulate economic activity in communities along the corridor.
The President also urged residents to support government efforts by fulfilling civic responsibilities, including tax payments, and to help protect public infrastructure.
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, described the project as one of the most difficult inherited by the administration, noting that its completion required significant financial investment and political will.
He said the road had previously become a security risk and a hotspot for criminal activities, but its rehabilitation has transformed the corridor into a safer and more functional route.
Wike added that another major road project, the Kuje–Gwagwalada dual carriageway, would soon be commissioned as part of ongoing infrastructure development in the territory.
The commissioning ceremony is part of activities marking President Tinubu’s third year in office, with several projects being inaugurated across the Federal Capital Territory.
