Restriction imposed after the Oriire kidnapping incident is lifted as government says security agencies remain on high alert.
The Oyo State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on 10 local government areas following the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area.
The state had earlier imposed a 16-hour curfew across the affected councils before extending the restriction by an additional 24 hours as security agencies intensified rescue operations.

Announcing the decision on Saturday, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, said residents could now resume their normal activities, appreciating them for their patience, cooperation and understanding during the period of the curfew.
Oyelade assured residents that the government remains committed to protecting lives and property, adding that security agencies are closely monitoring the situation and intensifying efforts to bring the kidnapping incident to a successful conclusion.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and continue supporting security agencies with credible information to sustain peace and security across the affected communities.
