FCT Minister says improved infrastructure under the Tinubu administration is increasing property values in parts of the capital.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has claimed that house rents in parts of Abuja are rising because of the road infrastructure being delivered by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Wike said the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of major roads across the Federal Capital Territory have significantly improved accessibility and increased the value of properties in affected areas.

According to the minister, the improved infrastructure has made several communities more attractive to residents and investors, prompting landlords to increase rents.
He attributed the development to the Tinubu administration’s commitment to transforming the nation’s capital through extensive road construction and urban renewal projects.
Wike maintained that infrastructure development naturally enhances property values, insisting that the government’s investments are already having a positive impact on the FCT’s economy and real estate sector.
The minister’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the rising cost of housing in Abuja, with many residents complaining about increasing rents in several districts of the capital.
