Oloye Benedict Akika hails Makinde’s inclusive leadership, describes Ramata Agberemi Dabo as a grassroots mobiliser and champion of women empowerment.

The Founder of the Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF) and Agbaakin Olorunda-Abaa, Oloye Benedict Akika, JP, has congratulated Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) on her appointment as Director of Women Mobilisation in the campaign council for the 2027 governorship ambition of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi.

Akika described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Dabo’s dedication, loyalty and years of impactful grassroots political engagement, expressing confidence in her capacity to mobilise and inspire women across Oyo State.

According to him, Hon. Dabo, who currently serves as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to grassroots development, women empowerment and inclusive political participation.

He noted that her accessibility, organisational skills and strong relationship with women and community stakeholders have distinguished her as one of the state’s most influential female political leaders.

“RAD’s passion for service and her unwavering commitment to the people have earned her this great show of strength and support. She has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a true grassroots leader and possesses the experience required to excel in this role,” Akika said.

The OBF founder also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to promoting women into strategic leadership positions, describing him as a champion of inclusive governance whose administration has continued to provide opportunities for competent women to contribute meaningfully to the development of Oyo State.

According to Akika, Governor Makinde’s leadership style has reinforced the belief that women should not only participate in politics but should also occupy key decision-making positions where they can shape policies and influence governance.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has consistently demonstrated that leadership should be based on competence and capacity rather than gender. His continued confidence in women leaders has inspired many across Oyo State and beyond. Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo’s emergence is another testament to the Governor’s commitment to inclusive leadership,” he stated.

He further urged women across the state to remain active participants in the democratic process, stressing that greater inclusion of women in political leadership would strengthen governance and accelerate sustainable development.

Akika also encouraged members of the campaign council to work together with unity, dedication and a shared commitment to grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

While acknowledging the significance of the appointment, he expressed optimism that the campaign council would provide a formidable platform for an issue-based and people-centred campaign.

He concluded by wishing Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo continued success in public service and prayed for wisdom, strength and greater accomplishments as she takes on the responsibilities of her new role.
