A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, has died at the age of 64.
His death was confirmed in a statement issued by the Orbih family and signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, on behalf of the family.

Orbih, who held the traditional titles of Kulukulu 1 of Ogoni Land and Oduma of Uzairue, died on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Born on October 27, 1961, to Chief and Mrs M.C.K. Orbih of Ogbona in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, he had a career spanning politics, public service and the petroleum industry.
He began his education at Catholic Central School, Afashio, before proceeding to Our Lady of Fatima College, Auchi. He later attended Advanced College, Igueben, for his General Certificate of Education, Advanced Level, before gaining admission to the University of Benin in 1981, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1984.
