…raises concerns over intimidation and manipulation
Senator Sharafadeen Alli was reportedly in the lead during the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Oyo State, polling 578,143 votes.

He was reportedly followed by Senator Fatai Buhari with 37,265 votes, while former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, was said to have secured 19,193 votes.
Despite the outcome, Adelabu has raised concerns over alleged irregularities during the primary election conducted across the state.
Speaking with journalists after voting at Ward 9 in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area, Adelabu described the exercise in his ward as peaceful, transparent and credible.
He stated that he enjoyed massive support from party members in the area, claiming that more than 430 out of about 437 registered party members voted in his favour.
According to him, the voting process in his ward was conducted without violence or intimidation.
However, the APC chieftain alleged that reports from several other wards across the state pointed to incidents of electoral misconduct, intimidation and manipulation of results.
Adelabu further claimed that elections allegedly started earlier than scheduled in some wards, while party members in other areas were reportedly prevented from voting due to intimidation and violence.
