Board says new system will allow candidates to upload results from home while JAMB verifies them directly with examination bodies.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system for the direct verification of candidates’ O’Level results with the examination bodies that conducted the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Monday, saying the verification process would begin with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Under the new arrangement, candidates will be able to upload their O’Level results from home, while JAMB verifies the results directly with the relevant examination bodies.

Benjamin said the initiative was designed to make JAMB services faster, safer and more convenient by reducing unnecessary visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, queues and manual processes.

He explained that the system would also address challenges associated with manual result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up documents, fraudulent or unverified results and errors in entering subjects and grades.

According to him, JAMB’s eFacility platform has been integrated with examination bodies to enable results to be verified against official records before being uploaded to candidates’ profiles.
