ACP Veronica, CSP Mariam Others Join Law Enforcement Professionals in Bali
Nigerian female police officers are representing the Nigeria Police Force at the 63rd Annual Training Conference of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) in Bali, Indonesia.
The five-day conference, holding from September 20 to 24, 2026, is themed “Women Leading Global Change” and brings together policewomen and other law enforcement professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and examine emerging trends in policing.
The Nigerian delegation includes Assistant Commissioner of Police Ameh-Akpa Veronica and Chief Superintendent of Police Mariam Busola Ogunmolasuyi, alongside other senior female officers.
Other delegates are ACP Omuamaegbu Oyinye, ACP Edet Uduak Bassey, ACP Niyree Rwang, CSP Lami Patrick, CSP Opeifa Omolola, SP Omeoga Princess Esther, SP Victoria David, ASP Musa Hyelakuri and Inspector Mercy Johnson.
The conference focuses on professional development, leadership, technology-driven policing, criminal investigation techniques, community engagement and best practices in law enforcement.
The participation provides the Nigerian officers with an opportunity to share experiences from the country’s policing environment while learning from approaches adopted by law enforcement agencies in other countries.
It also highlights the growing participation of women in policing, including investigative, operational and rights-enforcement roles.
Through the conference, the Nigerian delegation is expected to strengthen professional networks, exchange practical experiences and contribute Nigerian perspectives to global discussions on the future of policing.
The event also provides an opportunity for the officers to showcase the role of Nigerian women in promoting professional, ethical and community-focused policing while strengthening international law enforcement partnerships.
