Agency Seeks Information on Abdulrasheed Maina Over Alleged Receipt of Stolen Property
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina, wanted over an alleged case of receiving stolen property.
The EFCC made the declaration in a notice signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, and published on the agency’s official X handle on Wednesday.

The commission urged anyone with information about Maina’s whereabouts to contact its offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt or Abuja.
The agency said Maina, 61, is an indigene of Biu, Borno State, and also provided a telephone number and email address for information.
Maina was previously prosecuted in connection with an alleged ₦2 billion money laundering case. In 2020, he was extradited to Nigeria from Niger Republic after he was arrested in Niamey following his absence from court and declaration as wanted by an Abuja High Court.
The latest EFCC notice concerns an alleged case of receiving stolen property.
