The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a principal suspect linked to a case of criminal conspiracy and murder in Karofin Madaki, Bauchi metropolis, after three months in hiding.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Habib said operatives attached to the ‘A’ Division, Township, arrested the suspect, 24-year-old Abdulrazak Sale Kundang, also known as “Abba Sale Police,” on Monday, October 5, 2026, following credible intelligence from a Good Samaritan.
According to the PPRO, on July 5, 2026, at about 9:30am, one Rilwanu Dauda, 46, of Karofi, was allegedly attacked and fatally stabbed with a knife by Kundang and his gang members.
He said the victim was rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, where he was certified dead by a medical doctor at about 11am the same day.
Following the incident, Habib said the command intensified efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects and placed them on its watchlist.
He added that the suspects had previously been linked to a politically motivated murder in the same area before disappearing.
Habib said, “Acting on credible intelligence from a Good Samaritan, operatives attached to ‘A’ Division, Township, swung into action and on 5th October, 2026, exactly three months after the heinous crime, successfully arrested the principal suspect, Abdulrazak Sale Kundang.”
The PPRO said efforts were ongoing to arrest the remaining accomplices who were still at large.
The Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, commended the operatives for their professionalism and resilience.
Aliyu warned that “no criminal will have a hiding place in Bauchi State” and directed that the case be thoroughly investigated before the suspect is charged to court.
