… targets candidates affected by technical glitches, biometric verification issues and withdrawn results.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of the mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for candidates affected by technical issues and other challenges during the 2026 UTME.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the board’s Public Communications Adviser, Fabian Benjamin.
According to JAMB, the mop-up examination is strictly for candidates who were duly registered and biometrically verified but could not sit the main examination due to disruptions.
The board said affected candidates include those whose centres experienced technical failures, candidates who faced biometric verification challenges, and others whose results were withdrawn over alleged examination infractions.
JAMB explained that the exercise represents the final phase of the 2026 UTME process and is aimed at resolving all outstanding issues from the main examination.
The board advised affected candidates to begin printing their examination notification slips from June 6, 2026, while also confirming their examination centres and making necessary preparations ahead of the exercise.
JAMB further warned that no additional opportunity would be provided after the mop-up examination.
The 2026 UTME was conducted between April 16 and April 25, with some centres across the country reportedly affected by technical glitches and biometric verification problems.
Earlier in May, JAMB approved minimum admissible cut-off marks of 150 for universities and colleges of nursing, and 100 for polytechnics during its annual policy meeting.
The board stated that the mop-up examination would conclude the 2026 UTME cycle ahead of admission processes by tertiary institutions across the country.
