Veteran Yoruba Actor Says Sadiat Remained Cordial With Actresses He Dated
Veteran Yoruba actor Yinka Quadri has revealed how his wife, Sadiat, maintained cordial relationships with female colleagues he dated, even when some of them informed her about his relationships with other actresses.
Quadri made the disclosure in a snippet of an interview with African A List released on Friday, explaining that his wife knew about the relationships but never confronted the women involved.
The actor said some female colleagues would approach Sadiat to gossip about his relationships with other actresses, including women who were also romantically involved with him.
“At some point, some female colleagues in the industry will approach my wife to gossip that I’m dating other actresses, even though I’m also dating some of the very actresses who gossip about me. My wife knows about it and doesn’t fight with them,” he said.
Quadri also recounted how his wife hosted and cared for some actresses who visited their home after late-night film productions, despite knowing about their relationships with him.
“Sometimes, when we finish production late and some of them come to sleep at my house, my wife feeds and takes care of them despite knowing that I’m dating them,” he said.
The actor met Sadiat in 1985, and they married in 1989. Their marriage has been blessed with children and grandchildren.
