Nollywood actress and producer Temitope Osoba will be buried on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.
The burial arrangements were announced by her family in an obituary shared on her Instagram page on Monday.

According to the family, Osoba’s remains will leave the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, at 9am, while the burial service will hold from 10am to 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.

Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died in early August at the age of 40. The Yoruba-language actress, who spent nearly two decades in the Nigerian film industry, featured in productions including Oogun Mi.
She had publicly battled breast cancer and, in August 2025, announced her recovery and return to acting, describing the period as one of healing, rebranding and empowerment.
However, the circumstances surrounding her death have remained disputed, with conflicting accounts from her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, and members of her family. Actor Yomi Fabiyi subsequently called for an investigation and autopsy to establish the cause and circumstances of her death.
The family had earlier warned against the circulation of unverified claims and urged the public and media to rely on information released through its official channels.
Osoba’s burial was initially scheduled for August 13 but was later postponed indefinitely. The family has now fixed September 10 for her final burial.
