Fintiri Orders Flags at Half-Mast in Honour of Late Ex-PDP Chairman
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has declared a three-day mourning period in honour of former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bamanga Tukur, who died at the age of 90.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hmwashi Wonosikou, Fintiri directed that all flags across the state be flown at half-mast during the mourning period in recognition of Tukur’s contributions to Adamawa State and Nigeria.
The governor described Tukur’s death as a great loss to the nation, citing his patriotism, commitment to public service and contributions to national development.
Fintiri extended his condolences to the Tukur family, his associates and the people of Adamawa State.
He prayed that Allah would grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
