Former Ekiti governor claims Governor Seyi Makinde is now facing the same political treatment he allegedly meted out to former allies.
Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has renewed his criticism of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, declaring that recent political developments have vindicated the warnings he and others previously gave about the governor.
In a video shared on his official X account, Fayose, speaking in Yoruba, said Governor Makinde is now experiencing the same political treatment he allegedly subjected some of his former allies to.
“We warned Seyi Makinde then. As he did to us, so will others do to him,” Fayose stated, insisting that unfolding events have justified his earlier position.
The latest remarks further highlight the long-standing political rift between the two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains. Fayose has consistently maintained that he played a significant role in Makinde’s emergence as Oyo State governor before their relationship deteriorated over political disagreements.
As of the time of filing this report, Governor Makinde had not publicly responded to Fayose’s latest comments.
