Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has embarked on a medical and vacation trip to the United Kingdom and other destinations in Europe.
Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, saying the governor departed from the Lagos Airport for the trip.

The governor said the short break would enable him to refresh and prepare for continued service to the people of Osun State.
“I am taking a short break to refresh and get further prepared to serve the good people of Osun State. The governor, who will also embark on medicals as part of the vacation, is headed to the United Kingdom and other destinations to be announced later,” Governor Adeleke said.
Before his departure, the governor ordered an investigation into the emerging kingship dispute in Koka town, Obokun Local Government Area, following reports of the appointment of another monarch, allegedly resulting in two kings in the community.
He directed the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to investigate the matter, review the circumstances surrounding the reported appointment and ensure compliance with relevant chieftaincy laws and traditions.
I read of another King appointed outside the one on the stool. The ministry is hereby directed to look into the dispute and issue a report to set the records straight.
I, however, urge all stakeholders to remain peaceful as the ministry does the needful. Kingship is governed by extant laws and regulations, and the government will stand by the law and tradition of our people, Governor Adeleke said.
