Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has signed the Osun State Park Management Bill, 2026, into law.
The development was disclosed on Monday in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, who said Adeleke commended the State House of Assembly for its proactiveness and dynamism.

The signing ceremony was held at the Government House.
Adeleke described the new law as a major step towards modernising the state’s transport system and improving the experience of commuters and transport operators.
He said the legislation would address longstanding challenges affecting the state’s transportation park system and assured stakeholders that its implementation would commence immediately.
The governor also pledged that the implementation would accommodate the interests of Osun residents and other stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery across the state.
Earlier, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, said the legislature complied with its standing rules in processing and passing the bill.
Egbedun said the new law addressed several concerns raised by residents about the management of transport parks in the state.
The House had earlier announced the passage of the Osun State Integrated Transport, Traffic and Park Management System Bill, 2026.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Tiamiyu Olamide, the bill was sponsored by the Chairman of the House Committee on Works and Transport, Abiola Waheed.
He said a major objective of the legislation was to introduce a digitalised ticketing system aimed at eliminating multiple ticketing in motor parks.
