Oyo Targets End-of-Year Completion as State Pushes for International Airport Status
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has inspected the ongoing construction of the new terminal at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan, as part of efforts to upgrade the facility to an international airport.
Governor Makinde said the contractor handling the project is working towards completing and commissioning the terminal by the end of 2026.
The project is part of the state government’s plan to improve the airport’s infrastructure and facilitate its transition to international operations.
