Security operatives launch rescue operation after midnight attack on Idogun residents.
The victim, identified as Oluwatobi Victor Olaosebikan, is the son of a local pastor, Isaac Olaosebikan. The attackers reportedly stormed the community around 1 a.m., firing gunshots sporadically and causing residents to flee for safety.
According to the Ondo State Police Command, the gunmen forced their way into the pastor’s residence. While the father escaped into a nearby bush, his son was abducted and taken to an unknown destination. Another resident’s home was also damaged during the attack.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said a joint team of police operatives and the Amotekun Corps has launched a coordinated search-and-rescue operation.
The Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, has directed tactical and intelligence units to intensify efforts to rescue the child unharmed and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Security agencies are currently combing surrounding forests and suspected escape routes as investigations continue.
