The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is engaging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to resolve the omission of its candidates from the Commission’s final list of governorship candidates for the 2027 elections, released on Saturday.
In a statement, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, said the PDP was treating the development seriously and seeking an amicable resolution in line with the law and established electoral guidelines.

He urged the affected candidates, party members and supporters to remain calm and exercise patience while discussions with INEC continued.
The lists published on the Commission’s website featured 13 governorship candidates in Ogun State and 16 in Gombe State, but no PDP candidate was listed in either state.
Those omitted include Ladi Adebutu in Ogun State and Isa Ali Pantami in Gombe State.
