President Moves to France After Spending First Part of Leave in London
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.
Officials close to the President confirmed his arrival on Sunday, saying he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke.
President Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30, 2026, for the three-week holiday, with London as his first destination before traveling to Paris.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said President Tinubu was expected to return to Abuja after the vacation to join the campaign for the January 2027 general elections. Paris
The President’s holiday began a week after the All Progressives Congress released its Presidential Campaign Council list, naming President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as chairman and vice chairman respectively.
Paris has remained one of President Tinubu’s most frequent foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.
