Governor Praises Chef’s Determination, Encourages Her to Champion State’s Development
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, for her determination and adventurous spirit, which he said contributed to her achievements.
Eno gave the commendation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when Baci, an indigene of Akwa Ibom, visited him at the Government House in Uyo.

The governor said Baci’s success demonstrated how courage and determination could help individuals overcome barriers and achieve remarkable feats.
He also praised her for making Akwa Ibom proud through her cooking achievements and encouraged her to continue promoting the state.
Speaking with the Government House Press Corps after the meeting, Baci described the pace of infrastructure development, peaceful atmosphere and investment opportunities in Akwa Ibom as remarkable.
She commended Eno’s leadership and described the state as “amazingly beautiful.”
Baci expressed particular delight with the facilities at Victor Attah International Airport, describing the infrastructure as first-rate and impressive.
The chef also praised the hospitality and industrious nature of Akwa Ibom people, promising to collaborate with relevant stakeholders where necessary to support the state’s development.
She encouraged tourists and investors to visit Akwa Ibom and explore its environmental, recreational, hospitality and other investment opportunities.
Baci also urged Akwa Ibom residents to continue promoting love, unity and peace to sustain development across the state.
