… says Oyo youths are firmly behind Governor Seyi Makinde at inauguration of the 3rd Assembly of the Oyo State Youth Parliament.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, Prince Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has declared that there is no “City Boys” movement in Oyo State, insisting that the state only has “GSM Boys” while expressing confidence in Governor Seyi Makinde’s political strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Falana made the declaration during the inauguration of the 3rd Assembly of the Oyo State Youth Parliament, where he addressed the newly inaugurated lawmakers, government officials and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, the agency chairman said the emergence of the new Youth Parliament followed a transparent and credible process, assuring members that the agency would continue to provide the necessary support to enable them to succeed in their legislative responsibilities.
He urged the youth parliamentarians to uphold integrity, demonstrate exemplary leadership and serve as worthy ambassadors of Oyo State and Nigeria.
According to him, the Youth Parliament should serve as a platform for grooming future leaders, expressing optimism that many of the lawmakers would go on to occupy elective and appointive positions in the future.
The youth development chairman described Governor Seyi Makinde as the “father of youths” in Oyo State, commending the governor for consistently identifying with young people through policies and programmes aimed at empowering them. He also assured the governor of their unwavering support in the forthcoming elections.
“I have told them that in this state, there is nothing like City Boys; we have GSM Boys. And I can tell you this, come 2027, Oyo State’s votes are for Seyi Makinde,” Falana declared.
He thanked the governor for his unwavering support for youth development and encouraged members of the Youth Parliament to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the present administration to prepare themselves for future leadership roles.
Falana also acknowledged the presence of the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who pledged to donate a laptop to the newly elected Speaker of the Youth Parliament and promised to support the activities of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency.
He concluded by reiterating the agency’s commitment to nurturing young leaders and creating an enabling environment for youths to contribute meaningfully to governance and the development of Oyo State.
