President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on Thursday attended the national premiere of MKO, a documentary on the life and political legacy of late businessman, publisher and politician, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.
The President and the First Lady arrived at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts in Iganmu, Lagos, where the documentary was being premiered as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.

President Tinubu’s arrival was captured in a video shared by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, showing the President and First Lady entering the venue as a band played the national anthem.
Directed by Ose Oyamendan, MKO examines Abiola’s life, political career and role in the struggle that followed the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
The feature-length documentary draws on archival materials and accounts connected to the June 12 struggle.
The Lagos premiere follows the documentary’s international screening at Sheffield DocFest in the United Kingdom.
