The former Sports Minister presented cash support to 25 schoolchildren as they reunited with their families after weeks in captivity.

Presidential aide, Sunday Dare, has donated ₦50,000 each to 25 pupils rescued from captivity in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The gesture was made in Ogbomoso as the children reunited with their families following their release after spending several weeks in the custody of their abductors.

Dare, who currently serves in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, said the donation was intended to provide immediate support and encouragement to the children as they begin the process of recovery and reintegration.

The rescued pupils were among those abducted during the attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area, an incident that drew nationwide attention and triggered a massive rescue operation involving multiple security agencies.

Their eventual release has been widely celebrated across Oyo State, with government officials, political leaders, and well-wishers continuing to offer support to the victims and their families.
