Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Adeola secured 304,055 votes during the party’s governorship primary election to clinch the APC ticket.
His opponent, Abayomi Hunye, reportedly polled zero votes in the exercise.
Following his victory, the senator pledged to build on the achievements of Dapo Abiodun and continue developmental projects across the state if elected governor in 2027.
