APC candidate expresses confidence in the electoral process, calls for patience and cooperation as voting continues across the state
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has dismissed allegations of voter intimidation and vote-buying during the ongoing governorship election.
The governor’s reaction followed claims by ADC candidate, Dare Bejide, who alleged that APC members were distributing money to voters and called on security agencies to investigate the matter.

Speaking with journalists after voting at Polling Unit 003, Okelele, Ikogosi-Ekiti, in Ekiti West Local Government Area, Oyebanji challenged anyone making such allegations to present credible evidence.
The governor, who cast his vote alongside his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and commended the peaceful atmosphere at polling centres.
He also urged eligible voters who were yet to vote to remain patient, cooperate with electoral officials, and participate peacefully in the democratic process.
Voting is ongoing across Ekiti State as residents elect a governor who will lead the state for the next four years.
