…describes allegation as politically motivated
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has dismissed claims that he is secretly working for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the allegation as false and politically driven.
The former Kano State governor reacted after comments credited to a spokesperson of the Kano State Government suggested that Kwankwaso’s recent political moves could be indirectly benefiting the ruling All Progressives Congress and strengthening President Tinubu’s political interests ahead of future elections.

Kwankwaso, who leads the New Nigeria People’s Party and the influential Kwankwasiyya movement, denied having any alliance with the presidency. He maintained that his political decisions are independent and aimed at promoting national development.
According to sources within the NNPP, the allegation is an attempt to distort Kwankwaso’s political position and mislead his supporters, especially in Kano where political competition remains intense.
The latest controversy spotlights the fierce political competition in Kano State, where the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) continue to jostle for political control ahead of upcoming elections.
