Governor Urges Ministries and Agencies to Prioritise Projects With Direct Impact on Residents
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has signed the ₦828.58 billion 2027 Appropriation Bill into law, paving the way for its implementation across the state.
The signing ceremony was held at the Red Chamber of the Katsina Government House on Wednesday.

Governor Radda commended the State House of Assembly for the speedy consideration and passage of the bill, describing the process as a demonstration of commitment within a limited timeframe.
The governor said the budget passed through a three-stage process, beginning with citizens’ inputs, followed by detailed defence by ministries, departments and agencies, before consideration and approval by the Assembly.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Nasiru Daura, presented the Appropriation Law to the governor for assent.
According to Daura, the approved budget stands at ₦828,578,844,091.48, comprising ₦190,726,262,820.44 for recurrent expenditure and ₦637,852,581,271.03 for capital expenditure.
Governor Radda directed implementing agencies to ensure prompt execution of projects and programmes, particularly those focused on priority areas and improving residents’ lives.
The governor had in July launched the second statewide ward-level town hall meetings to gather citizens’ contributions to the 2027 budget.
He said projects identified during the first round of consultations were already being implemented in areas including roads, agriculture, healthcare, education, water supply, youth empowerment, social protection, community development and security support.
Governor Radda said active citizen participation remained essential to achieving sustainable development in the state.
