Party selects chartered accountant and business scion to run alongside Senator Solomon Adeola.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has chosen Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Adegunwa-Balogun, a chartered accountant and daughter of Rite Foods founder Alhaji Sulaiman Adegunwa, will run alongside Senator Solomon Adeola, who has been endorsed as the party’s governorship candidate.
The announcement was made during the APC Strategic Caucus Meeting in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun, who said the decision followed wide consultations and reflects the party’s commitment to inclusiveness and consensus building.
Senator Adeola said Adegunwa-Balogun emerged from 17 female aspirants, commending the governor for overseeing a peaceful selection process.
In her acceptance, she pledged loyalty to the party and promised to support efforts aimed at driving development in Ogun State.
