Afrobeats Star Calls Lawyer a “100% Winning Ticket” for Oriade/Obokun Constituency
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has endorsed the 2027 House of Representatives bid of human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Davido expressed his support in an Instagram Story on Tuesday, describing Olajengbesi as My other project and calling him a 100% winning ticket.
Olajengbesi is seeking to represent the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections on the platform of the Accord Party.
The lawyer previously served as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State and campaign spokesman for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
Adeleke won the election, after which Davido took to X to appreciate Olajengbesi for his contribution to the campaign’s success.
If elected in 2027, Olajengbesi will challenge the incumbent lawmaker, Wole Oke of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has represented the constituency in the House for 24 years.
