Oyo students urged to embrace education, skills, integrity and responsible leadership as Nigeria marks International Youth Day.
The Senate Clerk of the Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union (FOSSU) National, Hon. Comr. Jeremiah Iyanuoluwa has joined young Nigerians and youths across the world in commemorating International Youth Day 2026, calling for greater investment in education, skills development, mentorship, decent work and meaningful youth participation in decision-making.
The FOSSU official noted that young people are already contributing to national development through student leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, community service and civic engagement, urging stakeholders to create an enabling environment for youths to thrive.

The Senate Clerk also encouraged Oyo State students to pursue knowledge, integrity, discipline, relevant skills and responsible civic participation, stressing that their voices and contributions matter in shaping society.
The official reaffirmed a commitment to promoting responsible student leadership, unity, accountability and constructive advocacy, while calling on government, educational institutions, parents and community leaders to support and empower young people to play meaningful roles in the future of the state and country.
