NANS PRESIDENT

Student leaders seek collaboration and renewed efforts to secure victims amid rising concerns over insecurity.

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), alongside members of the association, has met with Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Igboho to discuss possible ways of securing the release of abducted students and teachers.

According to NANS, the meeting centered on strategies aimed at ensuring the safe return of the victims while addressing growing concerns over insecurity affecting educational institutions and communities.

The student body said the engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to explore all available channels that could help facilitate the release of those still in captivity.

The visit comes as parents, students, and concerned Nigerians continue to demand swift action from relevant authorities to secure the freedom of the abducted victims and strengthen measures against recurring cases of kidnapping.

The development underscores increasing calls for collaborative approaches to tackling insecurity and protecting students across the country.
