The endorsement was announced during the foundation’s general meeting held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, which attracted executive members and coordinators from local government areas across Oyo State.

Speaking at the gathering, the founder of the group, Benedict Akika, urged members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the vision of the foundation within the APM political structure.

A key outcome of the meeting was the reaffirmation of loyalty and support by executives from across the state. Members unanimously adopted Governor Makinde as their preferred presidential candidate for 2027 and endorsed Adekambi for the governorship seat in Oyo State.

The foundation also pledged its support for all APM candidates seeking election into the National Assembly and state legislature, emphasizing the need for stronger grassroots engagement, political cohesion and effective party organization.

According to the leadership of the group, the meeting served as a strategic platform to strengthen its political structure and prepare members for active participation in the 2027 electoral process. OBF said it remains committed to advancing its adopted political agenda while expanding its influence across communities in the state.
