Group pledges statewide mobilisation for APM ticket, says Adekanmbi and Salawu can sustain Makinde’s development agenda
The Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF), a sociopolitical movement founded by Oloye Benedict Akika, has declared its full support for the governorship ambition of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and his running mate, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
In a statement made available to 9ja News 24/7, the group described the emergence of Salawu as a significant milestone in the state’s political landscape, expressing confidence in the duo’s ability to provide effective leadership and continue ongoing developmental initiatives.

The forum commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership and for supporting what it described as credible individuals capable of sustaining the state’s progress.
According to OBF, Adekanmbi’s experience in public service and Salawu’s professional background make them well-positioned to advance infrastructure development, economic growth, and people-focused governance across Oyo State.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to the Adekanmbi/Salawu ticket and pledged to mobilise members and supporters across the state’s 33 local government areas in support of their campaign.
OBF also called on residents to embrace unity, peace, continuity, and sustainable development as political activities ahead of the 2027 election gather momentum.
