Ambassador Ezenwa Nwaobiala pledges stronger Nigeria–Côte d’Ivoire relations as President Ouattara reaffirms commitment to regional cooperation
Nigeria’s newly appointed Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Ezenwa Nwaobiala, has officially assumed duty in Abidjan after presenting his Letters of Credence to President Alassane Ouattara.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ceremony at the Ivorian Presidential Palace formally marked the commencement of Ambassador Nwaobiala’s diplomatic assignment. During the event, he conveyed the goodwill message of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations.
President Ouattara welcomed the Nigerian envoy and expressed support for stronger cooperation between both countries in the areas of trade, regional integration, economic development, and security.
Addressing members of the Nigerian community in Abidjan, Ambassador Nwaobiala said his mission would focus on promoting Nigeria’s interests while contributing to peace, prosperity, and stability across West Africa.
