Royal family celebrates the arrival of a princess three months after the monarch welcomed twin princes.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has announced the birth of a baby princess with his wife, Olori Oluwatosin, adding another member to the royal family barely three months after welcoming twin princes with Olori Mariam Ajibola.
The revered monarch disclosed the news on Sunday in a post shared on his official Facebook page, where he expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery.

“To God Almighty be all the glory for His unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa for the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin,” the Ooni wrote.
He prayed for the newborn to grow in wisdom, grace and honour, while confirming that both the queen and the baby are in excellent health.
The birth comes just months after the monarch celebrated the arrival of twin princes with Olori Mariam Ajibola. At the time, he also thanked God for a successful delivery and announced that the mother and children were in good health.
Oba Ogunwusi, who ascended the throne in 2015, expanded the royal household in 2022 after marrying six queens within a three-month period following the end of his marriage to Olori Naomi.
During the celebration of his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, the monarch explained that his decision to marry multiple wives was guided by the cultural and traditional heritage of Ile-Ife, which he said he could not alter despite personal preferences.
The birth of the princess has drawn congratulatory messages from well-wishers, marking another significant moment for the House of Oduduwa.
